# manage boards

> The workspace's boards. A board is a select field: its columns are the field's options and a card's column is the item's value, so it shows in the table, the item panel and every field filter. Placing or moving a card is update_items setting that field by name ({ fields: { "Nike Q3": "Approved" } }); clearing it takes the card off. get reads one board column by column, limit and cursor at a time. Names are unique across fields, so create fails on a name already taken. delete takes the word "delete" in confirm and is permanent: the board, its columns and every card's place go; the items stay. Free.
