Fades and transitions travel to any kind, clamped to half the target; between picture clips the framing, opacity, grade, effects, masks and fill or fit; between texts the whole style and framing; between clips with sound the volume, never onto a video whose sound is detached. An animated framing is read at its first frame and written static. A match, not a merge: a field the source lacks is cleared on the target, and a target animating a changed property loses that track. Placement, duration, trim, speed, media, layout slot, links, labels and caption styling never travel. Exactly one of clip_ids, track_id or range.
