# undo

> Put a timeline or a canvas back as it stood before its last edit, or with to_revision restore any kept revision, forward or back (which is how an undo is redone). The reply names the revision it reversed, what that edit did, and how many steps remain. An edit made by someone else is named and left alone unless to_revision names it. A timeline keeps 50 revisions and a canvas 20. Ids from before may not exist after; a re-read precedes the next edit. Free.
